<p>The Scuola Normale Superiore is organising for the academic year 2025/2026 - within the MERITA Project, the network for talent, with funding of the Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR) (NRRP, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan), Mission 4 – Education and Research, Component 1, Investment 3.4 "Advanced university training and skills" – "Reinforcement of the Scuole universitarie superiori (the university institutes of higher education)", Public notice pursuant to Director's Decree No. 594/2024 – a spring school denominated: “Archaeology Spring School in Cortona - Collections, Territory, Museum’’.<br />
The spring school will be held in person from May 4th to May 6th, 2026, at the Palazzone in Cortona, for a total of 20 hours.<br />
The official languages of the spring school are Italian and English.<br />
The spring school will have a maximum of 7 participants. </p>
<p>Those qualifying and admission requirements: Activities are suitable for students of Italian and non-Italian universities enrolled in PhD courses, and for early-career researchers who have obtained a PhD within the five academic years preceding the publication of this call.<br />
Please submit and declare:<br />
• An abstract of approximately 300 words (on one of the main themes of the spring school: topics related to collections of antiquities from the 18th century to the present day and on the role of antiquarian and archival research as tools for understanding local territories; display and public engagement of historic collections) <br />
• Your current institutional affiliation (or, in the case of postdoctoral researchers, the institution where the PhD was obtained).<br />
• A short biographical note outlining your research interests.</p>
